Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.05.2024 and thereby direct the respondents 1 to 3 to transfer the Patta from the petitioner's wife's vendor name into petitioner's name in Survey No.517/26B situated at 1st Street, Dhandabani Street @ Jamakkalam Street @ Vedhakkara Street, Thirupathur Town and Taluk, Thirupathur District to an extent of 367 Sq.ft., on the light of order passed by the 3rd 1/5

ORDER
The petitioner's representation dated 09.05.2024 to the respondents herein to transfer the patta from the name of the petitioner's wife's vendor to the name of the petitioner in respect of 367 Sq.ft., at 1st Street, Dhandabani Street @ Jamakkalam Street @ Vedhakkara Street, Thirupathur Town and Taluk, Thirupathur District, having not been considered, the petitioner has moved this Court seeking a mandamus.
2. The petitioner would submit that his wife had given a representation to the 3rd respondent to transfer the patta in her name from her vendor. The 3rd respondent passed the order on 09.01.2002. Thereafter, the petitioner's wife had executed a Will dated 14.02.2024 2/5
in favour of the petitioner and has passed away on 31.03.2024 and he had made representation to the respondents on 09.05.2024 to change the patta from the name of the vendor from whom the petitioner's wife had purchased the property, to the petitioner's name.
3. Heard the learned counsel on either side.
4. The said application has not been considered todate. Therefore, this Writ Petition is allowed and a mandamus is issued to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders granting patta within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In case of the rejection, the respondents shall pass a speaking order. There shall be no order as to costs.
