The petitioner is A2 in Crime No.724 of 2023, registered by the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 20(1) of COTPA Act, 2003, and Section 328 of IPC.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the petitioner had been in custody from 25.10.2023, on a complaint given by a stranger in the road, who found the accused persons standing with two gunny bags and asked them what was in the gunny bags, when they informed about the contents, he lodged the complaint. 3.It is stated that the contents were banned tobacco products weighing 260 kgs worth of Rs.2,00,000/-.

4.Taking into consideration the huge quantity of banned tobacco products seized, and the fact that it was seized in the possession of the accused persons also of the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
