The petitioners/A2 to A4, who were arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 22.10.2023 for the offences under Sections 304(2), 201 of IPC and Section 135(1)(a) of Electricity Act, in Crime No.351 of 2023, seek bail.

2.It is the case of the prosecution that the defacto complainant had registered a complaint stating that her husband/deceased had gone with A1 for fishing and had suffered electric shock through fishing rod in the pond at Mayura River. The electricity flowed there and her husband died. 3.It is the further case that all the petitioners herein had assisted in originally dumping the body in the lake and later, taking the body in a cycle rickshaw and dumping it near bus stand. That is a most serious offence.

4.It is stated by the learned Government Advocate that A1 is still absconding.

5.Electrocution could happen more as an accident or on ignorance that electricity will flow back from the water. But screening of the offence is still more important.
