complaint dated 12.09.2023 to take criminal action against the respondents 3 to 7.

Advocate (crl.side) - R1 and R2 Mr.P.Kalimuthu - R3 to R6 O R D E R This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to take action against the respondents 3 to 7 based on the complaint dated 12.09.2023 to take criminal action against the respondents 3 to 7.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a building contractor and he lodged a complaint against the respondents 3 to 6 on 04.08.2023 on the allegation of demanding exorbitant interest and threatening with dire consequences to DGP and 2nd respondent. Pending enquiry on the said complaint, since the 7th respondent, on 01.09.2023 has threatened him with dire consequences to withdraw the earlier complaint, on 02.09.2023, he lodged a complaint before the 2nd respondent against the abovesaid five persons. The

respondent police after enquiring those 5 persons, issued CSR No, but failed to register a case against them. Hence, he lodged a complaint again on 12.09.2023 before the respondent police, requesting them to take criminal action against the respondents 3 to 7 herein, but since there is no action on the part of the respondent police, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.

3. The learned Govt. Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, on instructions, submitted that on the complaint lodged by the petitioner in CSR.No.633 of 2023, petition enquiry has been conducted and closed.

4. Recording the submissions of the learned Govt. Advocate (crl.side), this writ petition is closed. No costs. 20.02.2025 Index : Yes/No : Yes/No msr
