Ms.Keerthana Shenoi, learned counsel on behalf of Mr.L.Jai Venkatesh, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice for the respondents. Since she has been served in advance, she is apprised of the facts and circumstances leading to the filing of the Writ Petition and thus armed with memo dated 16.11.2023 that reads as follows:
'It is submitted that the above writ petition has been filed by the writ petitioner seeking for Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records pertaining to the Electricity Bill Invoice No.L40123011184841 dated 24.10.2023 issued by the 4th respondent to me payable before 13.11.2023 and quash the same.
2. It is humbly submitted that as per the instructions received from the 4th respondent, it is stated that the petitioner has made an Online Application on 05.10.2023 for change of Tariff from Commercial Tariff to Residential Tariff with regard to the Service Connection No.09-275-027-504 and the said application was processed and Tariff was changed on 25.10.2023. Since the Assessment Units were wrongly entered int the said Service Connection Ledger initially and in order to enter the reassessed actual units, the entries were deleted and the Tariff Change entry was also deleted. It is humbly submitted that once the Writ Petitioner makes payment of the re-assessed amount of Rs.3296/-, the Tariff Change would be effected and an entry would be made online.'

In light of the memo to the effect i) the demand under the impugned invoice has been reduced to a sum of Rs.3,296/-, the grievance of the petitioner in regard to the demand does not survive any further. ii) As regards the change in tariff, the petitioner's application seeking change is stated to have been accepted. Let this be given effect to, forthwith.
3. Recording the aforesaid and as nothing further survives in this Writ Petition now, the same is closed. No costs. Connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
