Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to promote the petitioner from secondary grade teacher to B.T.Assistant (Science) with effect from 18.06.2014 on par with other juniors with all attendant benefits within a stipulated period of time as fixed by this Court. 1/6

For petitioners : Mr.R.Ezhilarasan (in both Wps) For Respondents : Ms.P.Kavitha (in both Wps) Government Advocate COMMON ORDER By consent, these writ petitions are taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.The case of the petitioners is that the petitioners joined their service as Secondary Grade Teacher in Government High School in the year 2004 and 2008 respectively. While they were in service, the petitioners studied B.Sc (Applied Chemistry) and obtained degree for Bachelor of Science in the year 2008 and 2009 respectively. Thereafter, they completed course of Bachelor of Education and obtained degree in the year 2011 and 2012 respectively. Originally, they were appointed as secondary grade teachers for the period from 05.11.2004 to 06.10.2006 & 01.03.2008 to 01.06.

2009 in Panchayat Union Middle School, Tiruvallur District & Tiruppur Union, and subsequently they were transferred in the year 2009. The petitioners were eligible for promotion of B.T.Science with effect from 18.06.2014 on par with other juniors with all attendant benefits. Therefore, the petitioners made a representation on 11.06.2019 & 14.06.2019 to the 1st and 3rd respondents. But till date, the respondents 1 and 3 have not considered the approval of the petitioners' appointment. Hence, the petitioners have filed the present petitions. 3.Heard both sides.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the respondents 1 and 3 to consider the approval of the petitioners' appointment and pass orders, within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

5.Though the petitioners have sought for a larger relief, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents 1 and 3 to consider the petitioners' representation dated 14.06.2019 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

With the above direction, these writ petitions stand disposed of. No costs.
