Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to participate in the General Transfer Counselling for the year 2019-20, scheduled to be held on 20 November 2019 or any other subsequent dates, under the priority quota for Physically handicapped for the vacancies to the post of Secondary Grade Teacher in the P.U.Primary School, Mooram Theru, Ayakkarankulam, and Aathanur, and Nagapattinam District.

The prayer sought for in this Writ Petition is to direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to participate in the
General Transfer Counselling for the year 2019-20, scheduled to be held on 20 November 2019 or any other subsequent dates, under the priority quota for Physically handicapped for the vacancies to the post of Secondary Grade Teacher in the P.U.Primary School, Mooram Theru, Ayakkarankulam, Aathanur, Nagapattinam District.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he is Physically Challenged and working as Secondary Grade Teacher from 28.02.2008 in the P.U.Middle School, Vowaladi, Thirumarugal Union. On 29.07.2012, he was transferred to P.U.Middle School, Petiyathumbur, Kilaiyar Union on his request. Since then, he is working in the said transferred School for the past 7 years without any order of transfer. It is his further case that he is traveling strenuously daily 70 KM to reach the School by up and down. In order to participate in the General Transfer counselling, the petitioner made a representation to the authorities. However, till date the said representation was not considered. Therefore, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice to issue direction to the respondents to consider and dispose of the representation dated 13.11.2019, in accordance with law.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, I am inclined to issue direction to the respondents to dispose of the representation dated 13.11.2019, if not disposed already within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed.
