The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under sections 406, 420, 468 and 34 of IPC in Crime No.240 of 2022 seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused received a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- under the guise of securing job in Ireland and issued bogus VISA and fake appointment letter and cheated him. Hence the complaint.

3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and she has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and a false case has been foisted against him. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) for the respondent police submitted that the petitioner along with other accused received a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- under the guise of securing job in Ireland and issued bogus VISA and fake appointment letter and cheated him. He further stated that investigation is at crucial stage, if the petitioner is granted anticipatory bail at this stage, then there will be possibility of tampering the witnesses and hampering the investigation. Hence, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 5.Considering the fact that investigation is pending, the amount involved in this case, the objection raised by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) and the condition to pay a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- not complied with, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 06.01.2023 jai
