Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to allow the petitioner to participate in the Interview by producing the Photo Copies of the Educational Certificates and Experience Certificate for the interview scheduled to be held on 19.11.2019 in the 3r respondent's place. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner completed her BBA and MBA courses in Madras University and she has completed her M.Phil and also passed N.E.T (U.G.C.) and S.E.T. She was awarded with Ph.d. in the year 2017 by Anna University. She served as Lecturer in few colleges in a short while.

2.It is the further case of the petitioner that the 1st respondent issued a notification in Advt. No.CUTN/T/01/2019 dated 16.05.2019, and called for applications for the post of Assistant Professor for Human Resources and Accounts to teach Management subject. The petitioner downloaded an application for the said post on 20.06.2019. On 03.06.2019 itself, the 2nd respondent College has appointed the petitioner temporarily and she joined in the 2nd respondent College as Assistant Professor on 03.06.2019 by an appointment order issued by the said College dated 04.03.2019.

Immediately after joining in the 2nd respondent College, she submitted her application before the 1st respondent and requested the 2nd respondent to mention in Column No.8 of the application that she is working in that College. But the 2nd respondent refused to do so. Hence she paid echallan for her application on 19.06.2019 and submitted the application on 21.06.2019. The 1st respondent issued an application for the post of Assistant Professor, wherein in column no.8, it was specifically mentioned as "present positions" and the petitioner got confused and she could not able to mention column no.

8, because of the attitude of the 2nd respondent college and further requested the 2nd respondent college to give the original certificates enabling her to produce before the 1st respondent University for the purpose of selection process pursuant to the notification of the 1st respondent. However, till date, the petitioner's certificates have not been returned to her. Hence, the present writ petition. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice if this Court issues direction to the 1st respondent to allow the petitioner to participate in the interview to be held on 19.11.2019 by producing the photo copies of the educational certificates and experience certificate before the 3rd respondent.

4.The learned counsel for the 1st respondent would submit that though the petitioner does not possess the original certificates and the same were submitted to the 2nd respondent, the petitioner will be permitted to participate in the interview to be held on 19.11.2019, by producing the xerox copies of the original certificates.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of this and the views expressed by the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel for the 1st respondent, this Court directs the 1st respondent to allow the petitioner to participate in the interview to be held on 19.11.2019 by producing the xerox copies of the original certificates. It is made clear that if the petitioner is found eligible and selected to the said post, she shall produce her original certificates at the time of appointment.

6.With the above observations and directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
