The civil revision petition seeks for expeditious disposal of O.P.No.2294 of 2020 on the file of the learned VII Additional Family Court at Chennai.

2. When the matter came up for admission on 16.12.2024, I called for a report from the learned VII Additional Family Court at Chennai to state as to how long he requires to dispose of O.P.No.2294 of 2020.
3. The learned VII Additional Principal Judge, Family Court at Chennai has sent a report stating that the husband has filed O.P.No.2294 of 2020 seeking for divorce. Now the said O.P. has been pending for continuation of cross-examination of P.W.1. The report further states that now the wife has filed a counter in O.P.No.2294 of 2020 along with a counter claim for restitution of conjugal rights and it was pending. Therefore, he requests four months time to dispose of the said O.P. and the counter claim.
4. Taking into consideration the report of the learned Trial Judge, there shall be a direction to the learned VII Additional Principal Judge, Family Court at Chennai to dispose of O.P.No.2294 of 2020 within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4
