ORDER

(Heard through video conference) The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Section 420 IPC, in Crime.No.163 of 2019, on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

2.Earlier this Court, vide order dated 09.12.2019, granted interim anticipatory bail with the condition that the 1st petitioner shall deposit a sum of Rs.1,00,00,000/- (Rupees One Crore Only) before the concerned Magistrate on or before 17.12.2019. Subsequently, it has also modified vide another order dated 27.01.2020 to deposit the amount "within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order". Today, this matter came up for further orders.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that even though the 1st petitioner is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

directed to deposit a sum of Rs.1,00,00,000/- (Rupees One Crore Only) in the month of December 2019, sofar the 1st petitioner did not deposit the amount and enjoying the anticipatory bail ordered by this Court. Despite the order passed by this Court in December 2019, the 1st petitioner did not come forward to comply with the condition and nor paid the amount, hence this Court is not inclined to extend the interim order granted by this Court and considering the gravity of offence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the 1st petitioner.

4.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
