ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by J.NISHA BANU, J.,) This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the impugned proceedings dated 09.08.2023 calling the petitioner to appear for enquiry.
2. The petitioner was selected and got appointment as Machinist under the ST reserved quota in 2003 in the Ordnance Factory, Tiruchirapalli and has been working as such till date. At time of appointment he had produced his original community certificate issued by the competent authority and it was retained by the employer. Now, the deputy Superintendent of Police, Social Justice and Human Rights Wing, District Police Officer Nethimedu Salem-2 had directed the petitioner to appear for enquiry by letter dated 18.10.2021 The petitioner had appeared and submitted the documents on 23.10.2021. Thereafter there was no communication from the 2nd respondent But all of a sudden the 1st respondent had issued letter dated 09.08.2023 directing the petitioner to appear for enquiry fixing the date on 24.08.2023. Hence, the present writ petition with the aforesaid relief.
3. It is seen that the impugned order is only a notice calling for the petitioner to produce the documents for verification of his community status by the State Level Scrutiny Committee and the same has been challenged in the writ petition. Therefore, we are of the opinion that the grievance raised by the petitioner is highly premature, especially, when no order was passed as against the petitioner in respect of his community status. We do not find any merits in the writ petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. (J.N.B., J.)
