ORDER
This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025. 2.The case was registered in Cr.No.47 of 2000 for the alleged offences under Section 147, 341, 323 and 506 (i) of the I.P.C. In this case the defactocomplainant does not want to pursue the case further. As a matter of fact the occurrence is said to have happened in the year 2000. Even the split up case ended in committal. The grounds for acquittal also apply to the present accused. It is reported that both the accused have been attending the Court since 2000 and there is no previous or subsequent case against the accused. 3.Considering the nature of the allegation, the antecedents of the accused and since the accused have been facing the case since 2000, any further continuation of the trial would impinge upon his right to a speedy trial of the accused and no useful purpose would be served.
