O R D E R
The petition is filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.8 of 2019 for the alleged offences under Section 498 (A) and 406 of IPC.
2. Today, when the matter was called, the defacto complainant has filed an affidavit stating that the parties have settled the matter and she has agreed to withdraw the allegations in the FIR and has no objection for quashing of the same.
3. Both the parties are present today and M/s. R.Nandhini Ushaa, Sub Inspector, W - 19 All Women Police Station, Adyar, who has appeared before this Court has identified the parties. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, no useful purpose would be served in keeping the proceedings on the file of the 1st respondent Police 2/5
pending. Hence, the impugned F.I.R is quashed. The said affidavit is taken on record and shall form part of the order.
4. With the above observations, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
