Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to pass appropriate orders on the representation dated 17.05.2023 made by the petitioner in which a request to continue the KIOSK at the premises by the petitioner in which a request to continue the KIOSK at the premises of the 4th respondent was made within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 17.05.2023.

2. Mr.J.C.Durairaj, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself. 2/5

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that on an earlier occasion, this Court vide order dated 24.02.2022 in W.P.No.18981 of 2017 directed the petitioner to file a suitable application with regard to the renewal of license. Accordingly, the petitioner made an application dated 17.05.2023. However, the respondents had not considered the said application till date. Hence, this writ petition.

4. The learned counsel for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's application will be considered at the earliest in accordance with law.

5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the respondent and also perused the materials available on record.

6. In view of the above, this Court directs the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's application dated 17.05.2023 within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 3/5

7. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No cost.
