O R D E R
.The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to continue in Service as Overhead Pump Operator and further directing the Respondents to settle the Pending Salary from the Month of May 2011 till date together with eligible Interest.
.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was appointed as Over Head Pump Operator on 19.05.2009 in Therkunam Village Panchayat on monthly salary of Rs.600/-. The grievance of the petitioner is that he was not paid salary from the months of May 2011 to January 2012. The petitioner made a representation dated 09.01.2012, followed by reminder dated 16.10.2018 requesting the respondents for payment of his unpaid salary. Since no action is forthcoming despite his representation the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to pay the salary for the period of May 2011 to January 2012 with interest.
.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that without going into the merits of the case, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.10.2018 and to pass appropriate orders.
.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, I am inclined to issue direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.10.2018, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
.The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs. Sd/- Assistant Registrar(CS-VIII) //True Copy// Sub Assistant Registrar jrs
