This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 30.09.2024 wherein the petitioner has requested to revert her back to Annamalai University or any other institution that comes under the Higher Education Department in and around Chidambaram.

Heard Mr.V.Illanchezian, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.Surendran, learned Additional Government Pleader for respondents 1, 2 and 4 and Mr.S.Sithirai Anandan, learned Standing Counsel for 3rd respondent. 3.
The case of the petitioner is that she was appointed as a Junior Assistant in the 3rd respondent university. Her services were regularised in the year 2006. 2/6
Subsequently, the 2nd respondent transferred the petitioner to the 4th respondent college on 18.04.2023 and the petitioner has also joined in the said college. 4.
The grievance of the petitioner is that she has a special child to take care and that apart, her husband is also suffering some mental illness. Therefore, the petitioner has to travel nearly 5 to 6 hours on a daily basis and she is the sole working member of the family. It is under these circumstances, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 30.09.2024 requesting for reverting her back to the Annamalai University or any other institution at Chidambaram in the light of GO Ms.No.107, Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department dated 03.09.2020. Since the same did not evoke any response, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court seeking for appropriate directions.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the nature of grievance that has been expressed by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 30.09.2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law and by showing some humanitarian consideration and necessary orders shall be passed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. 3/6

The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the respondents 1 and 2 along with all the relevant documents and also a copy of this order.
