ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Alandur, to expeditiously dispose of C.C.No.241 of 2017 within a time frame as may be stipulated by this Court.

2. The petitioner is facing trial in C.C.No.241 of 2017 for the offences under sections 279 and 304[A] of IPC. The grievance of the petitioner is that initially the trial proceedings commenced on 12.06.2017 and out of 12 witnesses, only four witnesses have been examined so far. Hence, seeks a direction to the trial Court to dispose of the case expeditiously.

3. Considering the limited relief sought in this petition and that the case is pending from the year 2017, without going into the merits of this case, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Alandur is directed to expedite trial in

C.C.No.241 of 2017 and dispose of the case within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
