The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 14.11.2022 filed under Section 72 of the Registration Act on merits within a stipulated period. 1 / 4
2. As against the refusal slip issued by the 1st respondent dated 13.09.2022 the petitioner preferred an appeal under Section 72 of the Registration Act on 14.11.2022 to the 2nd respondent who is the appellate authority. However, the said appeal, according to the petitioner, so far has not been disposed of. Hence, in order to dispose of the said appeal on merits within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court, the petitioner has moved the present writ petition.
3. Reiterating the aforesaid facts, Mr.Pradeep Jayakumar learned counsel for the petitioner seeks the indulgence of this Court.
4. Heard Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents who would submit that, the said appeal filed by the petitioner on 14.11.2022 would be considered and disposed of by the 2nd respondent on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.
5. Considering the said submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following order.

"That there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to decide the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 16.11.2022 and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
