ORDER

By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner originally appointed as a watchman in the year 2006 in the vacancy arose due to promotion of K.Arputhraj on 01.06.2005. Thereafter, the 3rd respondent sent a proposal to the 2nd respondent on 31.10.2016 for approval of appointment of the petitioner as watchman with effect from 13.10.2016. The respondents 1 and 2 on the receipt of such proposal sent by the 3rd respondent college, till date no order was passed by approving the petitioner's appointment.

The petitioner submitted that the government issued a general ban through G.O.Ms.No.212, dated 29.11.2001 and the same was subsequently lifted by another G.O.Ms.No.14 dated 07.02.2006. The proposals sent by the 3rd respondent dated 31.10.2016 and 15.02.2019 is pending with respondents 1 and 2. Since no response is forthcoming, the petitioner came forward to file this writ petition.

3.Heard both sides.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 15.07.2019 and pass orders, within a stipulated time fixed by this Court. 5.Though the petitioner has sought for a larger relief, this Court without going into the merits of the case, direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.07.2019 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
