ORDER
This petition is filed to direct the 2nd respondent to make necessary correction in the death certificate of the petitioner's daughter under the caption Name as E.Latha instead of Hemalatha and add the name of Elumalai and E.Kasthuri Bai under captions 'Name of the father' and 'name of the mother' issued by the 3rd respondent vide Registration No.D-2019.33-16394-000081 dated 28.3.2019 based on the representation of the petitioner dated 10.7.2025.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner, who is the mother of the deceased, has approached the respondents by way of a representation dated 2/5
10.07.2025 to change her deceased daughter's name from Hemalatha to E.Latha and to add petitioner's name as well as her husband's name in the caption 'name of mother' and 'name of father' respectively in the death certificate, since the same was not considered, the petitioner has come up with the present petition.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may issue a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders within the time stipulated by this Court.
4. On the other hand, the learned standing counsel appearing for the corporation would submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered and after conducting detailed enquiry, appropriate orders will be passed, thereby pleaded to grant time.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submission made by the learned counsel for the respondents, this Court directs the respondents to conduct detailed enquiry and pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 10.07.2025, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/5
6. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
