The petitioner herein seeks anticipatory bail in Crime No.387 of 2023 registered by the respondent Police for the offences under Section 4(1)(aaa) read with 4(1-A) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act.

2. The learned counsel for the Petitioner stated that the Petitioner has been arrayed as A3 in this case. He also stated that the Petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) stated that on 28.10.2023, the Respondent conducted a prohibition raid near Vadakku Poigainallur, Sithar Temple. At that time, a Yamaha bike bearing registration No.TN-51-AR-1026 and a Ford Fiesta car bearing registration No.TN-09AR- 0970 driven by the 1st and 2nd accused respectively were intercepted. They both tried to escape. It was found that 1800 bottles of Pondicherry liquor in the vehicles. He also stated that the Petitioner/A3 is the owner of the car. He further stated that A1 and A2 had been arrested and are still in custody. A4 and A5 are still absconding.

4. In view of that particular fact, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the Petitioner herein. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
