ORDER

This Contempt Petition has been filed to initiate contempt proceedings against the respondent for non-compliance of the order dated 09.06.2022 passed by this Court in W.P.No.10080 of 2021 and punish him for his failure to adhere to the directions issued by this Court.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent submitted that in compliance of the order dated 09.06.2022 passed in W.P.No.10080 of 2021, the petitioner's representation was considered and he was given with a promotion.

3. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner ought to have been promoted with effect from August 2014. But he has been promoted only with effect from 2022.

4. If the grievance of the petitioner is with regard to the date of promotion, then he will have to challenge the promotion order in respect of giving effect to the date of promotion. The direction given by this Page No.2 of 4

Court in the Writ Petition is to the limited extent of considering the petitioner's representation and pass orders in accordance with law. The petitioner has been promoted and he has joined in the promotional post. Hence, the order passed by this Court is complied.

5. In view of the above stated reasons, this Contempt Petition is closed. If the petitioner has got any grievance with regard to his date of promotion, he can give a fresh representation for inviting orders in this regard.
