ORDER

This writ petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus seeking a direction to the respondent to pass necessary orders on the representation given by the petitioner on 03.08.2015 seeking compassionate employment. 2.The mother of the petitioner, Smt.T.Vijayalakshmi, was working as Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife (ANM) in District Medical Office / District Family Welfare Department, Chennai Corporation. She died while in service on 04.06.2012. The petitioner is her adopted son. He was adopted on 15.11.2002 by way of an Adopted Deed registered as Document No.544/2002 in the Sub-Registrar office, Purasawalkam, Chennai. The petitioner was born on 20.06.1995. He attained the age of majority only on 20.06.2013. Thereafter, he made a representation seeking compassionate employment on 03.08.2015. Unfortunately, such representation was made after the period of three years from the date of death of his mother. The father, who was alive had also not made any representation within the stipulated period of three years.

3.In view of that particular fact, since the petitioner had made the representation after the stipulated time period, this Court cannot extend any relief to the petitioner. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
