The writ petition has been filed to forbear the respondents from executing the order of detention made under the provisions of Puducherry Prevention of Anti-Social Activities Act, 2008(Act No.10 of 2008).

The petitioner filed this petition to forbear the respondents from executing the order of detention. The said order was issued in the year 2017. The period for the proceedings is only for one year. Now, almost two years have been lapsed and hence, the prayer sought for by the petitioner has become infructuous.

Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
