O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tittakudi, to expedite the trial in C.C.No.164 of 2019 on a day-today basis and complete the same within the time frame stipulated by this Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the charges were framed by the learned Judicial Magistrate on 04.02.2020. However, despite the framing of charges, there has been no further progress in the case since that date.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), appearing for the respondent-police, on instructions, submits that the inquiry has been completed, and the matter is now posted for hearing before the trial court on 15.11.2024.

4. In view of the above submission, as the inquiry has been completed and the matter is listed for hearing on 15.11.2024, there is no further need to issue any specific directions at this stage.

5. Accordingly, the criminal original petition is dismissed. Both parties are directed to cooperate for the early disposal of the case, and the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tittakudi, is directed to dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible.
