ORDER

The present petition is filed seeking refund of the cost deposit of Rs.25,000/- to the respondents in W.P.No.20930 of 2016.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submit that this Court by its order dated 17.01.2003 and 24.07.2023 directed the petitioners herein to deposit a

sum of Rs.25,000/- towards cost. Accordingly, the petitioner herein had deposited the said sum of Rs.25,000/- with the Registrar General, High Court of Madras, on 04.08.2023.

3. It is further submitted that this Court, by its order dated 17.08.2023 in W.P.No.20930 of 2016, dismissed the writ petition, however given liberty to the petitioner to file petition for refund of the cost deposited which is extracted hereunder :

"The respondents, if they so desire, may file a payment out application for refund of the cost deposit consequent to the directions of this Court. If and when such application is made, the Registry is directed to return the said deposit to the respondent".

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the Registrar General, High Court of Madras is directed to return the said amount i.e.,Rs.25,000/- to the petitioner.
