ORDER

This civil revision petition seeks for early disposal of O.S.No.2258 of 2019. This suit was pending before this Court as C.S. No.612 of 1999.

2. When the matter came up for admission, I called for a report from the learned IV Additional Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai. I requested him to indicate as to how long he will take to dispose of the suit. He has sent a report stating that as the application to transpose the 13th defendant as 12th plaintiff is pending, he is not in a position to proceed further with the trial. 2/4

3. A perusal of the papers shows that the civil revision petitioner is a super senior citizen. Even at the time of presentation of the plaint, he was aged about 70 years.

4. Taking into consideration the plea of the civil revision petitioner as well as report of the learned IV Additional Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai, there shall be a direction to the learned IV Additional Judge to dispose of I.A. No.6 of 2024 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The learned Judge shall thereafter take up the suit and proceed week on week ensuring that the matter is granted atleast two hearings every week. The suit itself must be disposed of on or before 30.04.2025.

5. With the above direction, the civil revision petition is disposed of. No costs.
