Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Declaration, declaring that the appointment of the third respondent as Village Panchayat Secretary of Nambedu Village situated in Peranamallur Panchayat Union in Vandavasi Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District as illegal, null and void and consequentially direct the respondents 1 and 2 to appoint the petitioner in the said post within a reasonable period.

ORDER

Despite the matter being listed under the caption "for dismissal" there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner, when the matter was called in the forenoon session. Thus, the matter was passed over. Even when the matter was called again in the afternoon session, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner.

There was no representation on behalf of the petitioner on earlier dates of hearing i.e., on 09.10.2025, 06.11.2025, 27.11.2025 & 23.03.2026, when this Court had directed the matter to be listed under the caption "for dismissal". Thus, this Court is of the view that the petitioner is not interested to pursue the Writ Petition and accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. No costs.
