O R D E R

Wife has come up with this Petition seeking transfer of I.D.O.P. No.273 of 2019 pending on the file of Family Court, Chengalpet to the file of Family Court, Chennai.

2. At the time of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the divorce petition is pending at Family Court, Chengalpet and not at the District Court, Chengalpet.

According to the Petitioner, it would be much inconvenient for her to travel a distance of more than 60 Km, to attend the hearings in I.D.O.P. No.273 of 2019 at Family Court, Chengalpet along with her two years old child.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the Petitioner. None appears on behalf of the Respondent in spite of his name printed in the cause list, after service.

5. There is nothing on record to suspect the bonafides in filing this Transfer Petition. I am, therefore, of the view that the Transfer Petition deserves to be allowed.

6. In the result, the proceedings in I.D.O.P. No.273 of 2019 is withdrawn from the file of Family Court, Chengalpet and transferred to the file of Family Court, Chennai, for trial. The Family Court,Chennai is expected to conclude the trial, as expeditiously as possible, without adjourning the matter beyond https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

45 working days at any point of time, to bring the issue to a logical end.

6. The Transfer Civil Miscellaneous Petition is allowed as indicated above. No costs. Consequently, the connected civil miscellaneous petitions are closed.
