ORDER

The Writ Petition is filed for the relief of a Mandamus, directing the First Respondent to give Job on compassionate ground as a Legal Representative of the petitioner's deceased father K.Ramadoss, as per the petitioner's representation dated 29.03.2023. 2/6

2. It is the case of the petitioner that her father worked as a Driver in the respondent corporation and he had passed away on 28.04.2009, due to heart attack. The petitioner's family were able to get Succession Certificate only on 06.03.2013. The petitioner has sent a representation on 06.07.2020 to the respondents to give appointment on compassionate grounds. The petitioner has also produced no objection certificate from her younger sister. However, the representation was not considered.

3. The learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's father passed away in the year 2009 and the first representation was sent only in the year 2020. Therefore, it was not considered.

4. Having gone through the records, this Court is of the opinion that the respondents should not keep quite and sit without considering the representation of the petitioner. In view of the above, the 1st respondent is directed to consider and pass orders on the representation 3/6

of the petitioner dated 06.07.2020 on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not made any observations with respect to the merits of the petitioner's claim.

5. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
