The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 394 IPC altered to 395 r/w 397 and 506(ii) IPC in Crime No.254 of 2023, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.It is stated that A1, A3, A4 and A5 had been arrested and are still in custody. The petitioner is A2. It is also stated that the defacto complainant was going in a two wheeler carrying a sum of Rs.8,00,000/- cash and knowing that fact, all the petitioners / accused had dashed against the two wheeler and had snatched away the amount. It is stated that only Rs.50,000/- has been recovered and the arrested accused had confessed stating that a sum of Rs.3,50,000/- had been handed over to the petitioner herein. 3.Taking into consideration the seriousness of the offence, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
