O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to refer the petitioner to Medical Board of any Government Hospital to ascertain physical fitness to work as driver and forthwith provide suitable alternative employment as envisaged under Section 20(4) the Rights of the Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 with continuity of service, pay protection and all other attendant benefits including back wages from the date on which the petitioner was disengaged from alternative employment by considering the petitioner's representation dated 02.12.2023.
2. This Court by order dated 04.12.2024 issued a direction to the Dean of Rajiv Gandhi General Government Hospital, Chennai to depute a team of Doctors to examine the petitioner and then give a medical report on the disability factor to enable the authorities to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.12.2023 and accordingly the petitioner had appeared before the Medical Board. The learned Standing Counsel submitted that once disability certificate is received appropriate orders would be passed by the respondent regarding the placement of the petitioner in an appropriate post.
3. Recording the above submission made by the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent, the writ petition stands closed.
