PRAYER This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.08.2025 and consequently direct the respondents to grant permission and protection to conduct a drama program on 04.09.2025 to 12.09.2025 i.e Drama on alternative days in the Sentharapatti North Street and market street in Gangavalli Taluk, Salem District. ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.08.2025.

2. According to the petitioner, he is the organizer and one of the group members of the Annamar Ponnar Sankar Nallathangal Terukoothu.. On 15.08.2025, he has sent a representation to the respondents seeking permission and protection to conduct drama on 04.09.2025 to 12.09.2025. 2/4

3. The learned Government Advocate (crl. Side) appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that this Court, in a similar matter in W.P. No.27334 of 2022 dated 29.08.2024, had passed an elaborate order regarding the manner in which such drama is to be conducted.

4. Hence, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 15.08.2025, in the light of the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.27334 of 2022 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law.
