ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent Police and also perused the materials available on record. 1/4

It is seen that this Court, by order dated 14.11.2024, dismissed the bail application in Crl.O.P.No.28163 of 2024 filed by the petitioner, however, directing the District Legal Services Authority, Coimbatore to refer the matter before the District Collector, Coimbatore, to provide interim compensation of Rs.1,50,000/- to the family members of the deceased/victims, as per Section 357(A)(1)(2) and (6) of the Victim Compensation Scheme, within 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order.

In continuation of the same, the Chairman/Principal District Judge, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Coimbatore, vide D.No.1145/2025 dated 17.06.2025 had sent a communication to this Court, seeking two months time extension to comply with the order passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.28163 of 2024.

4. Further, this Court observed that the Investigation Officer o the case in Crime No.185 of 2024 i.e., the Inspector of Police, Madukkarai Police Station, Coimbatore, had failed to appear to before the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Coimbatore. Thereafter, a letter was addressed 2/4

to the Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore. Non-response would cause further delay.

In view of the above, this Court directs the Inspector of Police, Madukkarai has to appear before the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Coimbatore, within four weeks from today, and the Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore, shall ensure the presence of the Inspector of Police, Madukkarai Police Station, Coimbatore, before the DLSA, to comply with the order passed by this Court. 15.07.2025 Speaking/Non-Speaking Order : Yes/No Neutral Case Citation : Yes/ No Index : Yes/No klt To 1.The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Coimbatore. 2.The Inspector of Police, Madukkarai Police Station, Coimbatore District.
