(This case has been heard through video conferencing) The Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner, praying to direct the 1st respondent to provide Police protection to measure the petitioner's land in Survey No.449/16, 449/17, 449/18, 449/19 and 449/20 in Solavampalayam Village on the basis of complaint dated 26.09.2019

2. Heard Mr.M.N. Balakrishnan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S. Karthikeyan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the 1st respondent. None appears for the 2nd respondent.

3. Today, when this petition came up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the 1st respondent would submit that the petitioner may be directed to file a fresh representation before the 1st respondent. On the basis of the fresh representation, the 1st respondent will consider the same in accordance with law.

4. Having considered the facts and circumstances of the case and the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the petitioner to submit a fresh representation before the respondent police within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

Upon receipt of the representation from the petitioner, the respondent police is directed to consider the same within a period of one month, and if necessary, to provide police protection to him.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
