ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to dispose the Statutory Revision filed under Section 153 of Tamil Nadu cooperative Societies Act, 1983 by the petitioner on 26.02.2024 within a stipulated time
2. Mr.S.Arumugam, Government Advocate takes notice for the Respondents. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel appearing for either side, this petition is taken up for final disposal.
3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner who was working as a Assistant Manager/Cashier in Vettavalam Branch has misappropriated the society of the fund to the tune of Rs.2,00,000/- due to which disciplinary proceedings has been initiated against him in Na.Ka.No.660/2015/E1 dated 15.02.2015 by the second respondent. In this regard criminal action was also initiated against the delinquent. Aggrieved over the same the petitioner has preferred Revision under Section 153 of Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act, before the first respondent on 26.02.2024. However, there is no progress in the Revision 2/5
Petition and the same is pending till date. Hence this petition.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would be suffice if this Court issues a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the Revision Petition filed by the petitioner on 26.02.2024 and pass orders.
5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that they will consider the case of the petitioner and take action in the manner known to law.
6.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the first respondent to dispose the Revision Petition filed by the petitioner on 26.02.2024 after conducting an enquiry by affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the concerned parties and pass orders within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
7. With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
