O R D E R

When the matter came up for hearing today, the petitioner as well as the second respondent/defacto complainant are personally present before this Court and identified themselves. They also produced their identity proofs before this Court. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel for the second respondent and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the first respondent. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that pending proceedings in Crime No.465 of 2019 on the file of the Inspector of Police, E-3 Teynampet Police Station, Chennai, the second respondent/de-facto complainant and the petitioner have amicably settled the issue among themselves and the de-facto complainant has also filed a compromise affidavit dated https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

19.11.2019 stating that he has no objection if the proceedings in Crime No.465 of 2019 on the file of the Inspector of Police, E-3 Teynampet Police Station, Chennai is quashed. In consequence with the compromise arrived at, the petitioner herein has also paid a sum of Rs.3,00,000/- to the deceased wife. 4.Recording the statements made by the defacto complainant in the affidavit filed by her dated 19.11.2019, the entire proceedings in Crime No.465 of 2019 on the file of the Inspector of Police, E-3 Teynampet Police Station, Chennai is quashed. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.
