Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records in pursuant to the impugned orders passed by the 2nd respondent in order No.1/2001 dated 01.03.2001 and the consequential rejection order passed by the 1st respondent in Na.Ka.No.7842/2002/A3 dated 22.10.2002 and quash these orders and consequently direct the respondents to reinstate the petitioner in the post of Secretary of Thiruvallur District Government Aided Schools Teachers and Staffs Cooperative Thrift and Credit Society with full backwages and other consequential service benefits or in alternate retain the petitioner in Kalyanakuppam Primary Agricultural Co-operative Bank.

The petitioner was issued notice pursuant to the order dated 06.06.2018 passed by this court to appear for the hearing on 25.06.2018, but the same has been returned as unserved with the postal endorsement 'no such person'. There is no representation for the petitioner when the matter is called today. No useful purpose would be served by keeping the writ petition pending, when the petitioner does not appear to be interested in pursuing the matter. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents is present.
2.Hence, this writ petition is dismissed for nonprosecution leaving it open to the petitioner to apply for revival of the writ petition in accordance with law. No costs.
