COMMON ORDER These Criminal Original Petitions have been filed seeking to issue a direction for early disposal of C.C.Nos.575 of 2016 & 252 of 2015 on the file of the learned Fast Track Court at Alandur.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the cases in C.C.Nos.575 of 2016 & 252 of 2015 have been filed under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act. In both the cases PW1 was examined in part and pending his examination, accused filed the petitions for taking the impugned cheque for handwriting expert's opinion. In C.C.No.575 of 2016, the report from Forensic Department was received and in C.C.No.252 of 2015, the report was not received till date and the accused has not taken any steps for early analysis of the disputed document. Therefore, the present petition has been filed.

3. It is seen from the submissions that both the cases in C.C.Nos.575 of 2016 & 252 of 2015 are pending for more than 5 years. Therefore, the learned Magistrate is directed to dispose of these cases as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above observation and direction, these Criminal Original Petitions are disposed of.
