ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking direction to the Respondents 1 to 4 to continue to engage the petitioner as Guest Lecturer in the Computer Science Department in the 4th Respondent College effective from June 2025.
2. Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the Respondents.
3. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal today at the admission stage itself.
4. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is engaged as a Guest Lecturer in Computer Science Department in the 4th Respondent College since 14.09.2014, continuously without any break except for the month of May and that she is also working as a sole Guest Lecturer in the 4th Respondent College. The 5th Respondent, all of a sudden, had called the petitioner and had stated that she should not be coming to work from this academic year. The petitioner is one among the 5699 Guest
Lecturers working in the entire state and on the ground of surplus condition, the petitioner is instructed not to come in the academic year. The petitioner has given a mercy petition on 26.06.2025 in person at Chennai. However, the 2nd Respondent has not considered the same till date. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the present Writ Petition.
5. Per contra, Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the Respondents would submit that through the petitioner has stated that she has given the representation on 26.06.2025, there is no proof for the same.
6. Considering the same, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.06.2025 and 10.07.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, the petitioner is directed to submit a fresh copy of the representation dated 26.06.2025 and 10.07.2025 to the 2nd respondent, along with the copy of this order. A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA ,J.,
