ORDER

(Made by Dr. ANITA SUMANTH.,J) Read this order in continuation of and in conjunction with order dated 23.04.2025, statutory notices was issued for the presence of the respondents today.

Mr.V.Nallasivan, Additional Inspector General of Registration, M.Ravichandran, the Special Deputy Collector (Stamps) and P.Loganathan, Sub-Registrar (Incharge) Villivakkam, formerly Joint Sub Registrar, Namakkal, were present today.

The first respondent / Thiru Dinesh Ponraj Oliver, IAS, The Inspector General of Registration & Chief Revenue Controlling Authority, seeks dispense of his personal appearance vide Sub Application No. 667 of 2025 listed today.

The reasons set out is that there are three review meetings viz., District Revenue Officer (Stamps)/Special Deputy Collector (Stamps), District Registrar (Audit) and Public Grievance Meeting, scheduled today.

Had it only been meetings fixed with the officers, we would not have considered the request for dispensing with personal appearance. However since we are informed that the public grievance meeting is ongoing, we do not wish the public to be inconvenienced by the absence of the officer and hence order this sub application. 6.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the directions under order dated 08.04.2021 have been complied, recording which, this contempt petition is closed. No costs.
