Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 6 to conduct an enquiry into the error in the measurements of the lands comprised in Survey No.204/4 and 206/4A2 in Thattimanapalli Village, Gudiyatham Taluk, Vellore District based on the Petitioner's representations dated 17.10.2023, 08.04.2025 and 07.07.2025 and pass appropriate orders rectifying the error in the measurement after providing sufficient opportunity to the petitioner. Mr.R.P.Muruga Raja, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents. With consent, the main Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
2. This Writ Petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents 1 to 6 to conduct an enquiry into the error in the 2/7
measurements of the lands comprised in Survey No.204/4 and 206/4A2 in Thattimanapalli Village, Gudiyatham Taluk, Vellore District based on the Petitioner's representations dated 17.10.2023, 08.04.2025 and 07.07.2025 and pass appropriate orders rectifying the error in the measurement after providing sufficient opportunity to the petitioner.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the aforesaid properties belong to the petitioner's father. After the demise of the petitioner's father, the petitioner came to understand that there is error in the revenue records pertaining to the aforesaid properties. Therefore, the petitioner submitted representations dated 17.10.2023, 08.04.2025 and 07.07.2025 to the respondents to conduct an enquiry into the error in the measurements of the lands comprised in Survey No.204/4 and 206/4A2 in Thattimanapalli Village, Gudiyatham Taluk, Vellore District based on the Petitioner's representations dated 17.10.2023, 08.04.2025 and 07.07.2025 and pass appropriate orders rectifying the error in the measurement after providing sufficient opportunity to the petitioner. Since no action has been taken on the said representations the 3/7
petitioner has come forward with this writ petition seeking for the aforesaid relief.
4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the respondent concerned would consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.07.2025 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame fixed by this Court.
5. Heard both sides. Perused the records.
6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and upon the submissions made, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent concerned to pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 07.07.2025, on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner and also affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as to any of the interested parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of 4/7
receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.
7. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
