ORDER

This civil revision petition seeks for expeditious disposal of LAOP.No.23 of 2023 on the file of the Principal District Judge, Chengalpet.

2. When the matter was taken up for admission, I called for a report from the learned Principal District Judge, Chengalpet.

3. The learned Principal District Judge, Chengalpet has sent a report dated 09.01.2025.

4. A perusal of the report shows that the counter has not been filed by the second claimant and by the respondent. This is led to the proceedings to be kept unnecessarily pending for completion of pleadings for a period of two years and more.

5. Mr.N.Muthuvel, learned Government Advocate representing the State states that the counter will positively be filed on the next hearing date. 2/4

6. In case counter is not filed, the learned Judge shall set the parties exparte and proceed in accordance with law. LAOP itself should be completed within a period of nine months.

7. With the above directions, this civil revision petition stands ordered. No costs.
