ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking to direct the respondents to regulate the business-vending activities of members of Swami Vivekananda Siru Viyabarigal Munnetra Sangam, Silver Beach, Devanampattinam, Cuddalore, Regd. No.SRG/Cuddalore/70/2019 by considering their representation dated 1/3

17.11.2022.

2. When the case was taken up, the learned counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that the survey has been conducted under the Street Vendors(Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014. Now, the Street Vending Committee is not yet constituted and the respondents are awaiting for order from the Government. Immediately, after the street vending committee is constituted, they will consider the same within a period of six weeks. Such statement is recorded.

3. Such view of the matter, the respondent shall pass appropriate order(s) on its own merits, after formation of the Street Vending Committee within a period of six weeks thereafter.

4. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 02.03.2023 dhk Index:Yes/No Internet: Yes/No 2/3
