Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to permit and provide

security for the proposed protest procession by the general public and social workers of the Palladam Town and its outskirts demanding for the immediate execution for laying of bye pass roads around the Palladam Town, starting from Kamarajar Thidal in Palladam Town at 9.00 a.m. on 19.12.2022 and ending at by giving petition to the District Collector of Tiruppur District at his office at Tiruppur based on the representation of the petitioner dated 09.12.2022.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction to the respondents to permit and provide security for the proposed protest procession by the general public and social workers of the Palladam Town and its outskirts demanding for immediate execution for laying of bye pass roads around the Palladam Town, starting from Kamarajar Thidal in Palladam Town at 9.00 a.m. on 19.12.2022 and ending at by giving petition to the District Collector of Tiruppur District at his office at Tiruppur based on the representation of the petitioner dated 09.12.2022.

The learned Government Advocate(crl.side) appearing for respondents submitted that the date (i.e. 19.12.2022) on which the protest procession was proposed to be held has already expired. Therefore, the prayer sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous. 3.

Therefore, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, the petitioner is at liberty to submit a fresh representation seeking permission for their procession, if so advised.
