The petitioner would submit that she has purchased the subject property under a registered sale deed dated 30.11.1998, totally unaware about the acquisition proceedings. Immediately on coming to know about the said proceedings, the petitioner has made an application dated 26.12.2022, requesting the respondent to regularise the purchase, in the light of the category of innocent buyers as per G.O.Ms.No.565, Revenue Department, dated 26.09.2008.

2. The respondent issued notice dated 09.01.2023, directing the petitioner to appear before him on 07.02.2023, with the documents and details. After the said enquiry, there has been no steps taken by the respondent. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court. 2/5

3. Heard the learned counsels on the either side and perused the records.

4. In the light of the above discussion and the fact that the respondent who had received the application and called the petitioner for enquiry on 07.02.2023 has thereafter not passed any orders, a mandamus is issued to the respondent directing him to consider the application dated 26.12.2022 and pass orders on the same, within a period of 8 weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
