The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent to complete the enquiry proceedings in O.A.No.09/2023 pending before the respondent.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he is a defacto-trustee of the temple namely Arulmigu Mariamman temple situated at Vellore Village, Erode District. He filed a petition under section 64(1) of the Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowments Act seeking to frame a scheme with regard to administration of the above mentioned temple and the said application is pending on the file of the respondent without any progress. Thereafter, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent to complete the enquiry and pass final orders.

3. Mr.S.Ravichandran, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondent would submit that the enquiry would be completed and final orders will be passed on its own merits within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

In view of the above submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the respondent to complete the enquiry and dispose of the original application No.09/2023 on his file, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
