This Suo Motu case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.)No.618 of 2025. 2.The case was registered in Cr.No.788 of 2021 for the alleged offences under Sections 279 and 337 of the I.P.C. The accident occurred on 24.12.2021. It is reported that the claim petition has been filed and compensation has been received. The matter has been pending since 2021. There is no previous or subsequent case against the accused. 3.Considering the factual matrix, context of the case, the reason for absence from his usual place, and the submission that, despite best efforts, summons could not be served, it is evident that even if the accused is brought to face trial, it would impinge upon his right to a speedy trial. 4.Accordingly, the case in S.T.C.No.417 of 2022 Judicial Magistrate Court No.II, Jayamkondam Taluk, Ariyalur, stands quashed. This Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of.
