Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to instruct the 2nd and 3rd respondents to have a physical verification of petitioner's residential house situated in Survey No.544, Perumbakkam Village, Tambaram Taluk, Kanchipuram District, assign door number and street name so as to enable the 4th respondent to instruct his subordinate incharge of the area to provide electricity connection to the petitioner's house property as stated above without insisting for the production of NOC from the 2nd respondent by the petitioner under the relevant provisions contained in the Tamil Nadu Electricity Act.

The petitioner has come up with this writ petition seeking a direction to the first respondent to instruct the 2nd and 3rd respondents to have a physical verification of the petitioner's residential house for getting electricity connection.

2. When the matter is taken up for consideration, learned senior counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty to approach the authority by filing proper application for the electricity service connection, enclosing all the required documents.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents has no serious objections for the same.

4. In such view of the matter, the writ petition stands disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to file proper application before the competent authority within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On such filing, the same be considered and appropriate orders be passed by the said authority, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks thereafter. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
